There are many ways to hang a boat fender: clips, holders, brackets and of course, tying them to the bow rail. All of these methods work, problem is that most of them don't allow for easy adjustment. Fendergrip is a handy new fender hanger that allows you to adjust fenders height without tying or untying knots.
This ingenious and effective design, consists of four parts made of injection-moulded acetal - a two piece housing, a push button, and a cam - plus four screws and a spring made Line threaded through the unit is locked between integral teeth in the interior of the housing and the cam. Actuation of the push button disengages the cam and allows raising or lowering of the fender. Moulded-in ridges on the casing and push button allow for a sure grip, even in wet weather.
You can install a Fendergrip faster than you can tie a bowline, include hooks, cleats, bowrails, grabrails or anything you can attach a line to. It's all so easy, a fast push-button action provides fender-height adjustment in seconds. Simply explained, fender lines, ideally 3/8" to 1/2" thicknesses, pass though the grip and over your boat's railing. A push of the black button activates the release that lets you raise or lower the fender's position. When the fenders are where you want them, let go of the button and the line is locked securely in place.
Fendergrip is extremely versatile and comes with a brochure that illustrates how to use the product in all its applications. For example, with two grips, you can use the fenders horizontally. If you're trying to tie up with another boat, you know there are just a couple of seconds to judge exactly where the fenders should be. With Fendergrip that's all it takes.
Built to last, the Fendergrip made of two types of Dupont Delrin«, a hard wearing resilient plastic, which contain UV inhibitors, and there shouldn't be any corrosion problems because the working parts are stainless steel. Fendergrip also comes with a three-year limited warranty.
Fendergrip is a great invention for all boaters. While some boaters instinctively use their hands and feet to fend off, it's not considered good practise. Fendergrip enables you to adjust fender height quickly and effectively by eliminating the time required to tie and retie lines (and also avoid smacking into the pilings, or possibly other boats)! Most importantly it gets the job done, and makes setting and adjusting fenders an absolute breeze.
