AngleGuard, 1 Bend, 58"H for one Instrument and/or Radar / Chartplotter NavPod up to 10.5". W x H x D: 9.5" x 58" x 1.25". NavPod AngleGuards for 9.5" or 12" Wide Pedestal Guards. NavPod AngleGuards are designed to upgrade sailboat steering systems and accomodate mounting of electronics onto NavPods. Edson is a popular manufacturer of steering systems who has always used a 9.5ö wide pedestal guard. Most of their pedestal guards are 1ö in diameter. Lewmar (formally Whitlock) also has manufactured steering systems that use the 9.5ö wide format. NavPod supplies the SG10 and AG10 as a easy retrofit onto either of these systems. For a clean and secure method of concealing wires and to accomodate large connectors and heavy radar cables within the Stainless Steel tubes, NavPod recommends the larger 1.25ö diameter AngleGuards. Often the existing Top Plate needs to be bored out or replaced with the TP125 to accomodate the larger diameter. NavPod supplies Polished Stainless Steel feet with all 1.25ö AngleGuards. Lewmar (formally Whitlock) has primarily used a 12ö wide pedestal guard on the steering systems they manufacture. It is 1.25ö in diameter and can easily accomodate retrofitting of any the 12ö wide AngleGuards without the need of top plate replacement. NavPod does not accomodate upgrading other popular european manufacturers like Goiat or Solomar. In the US, Merriman/Yacht Specialities produced many systems still in use today on older boats. This system is recognized by a 1ö in diameter pedestal guard and 12.5ö width measured on center of the tubes. All of these systems would need to be converted into accomodating the 9.5ö or 12ö wide AngleGuards in order to mount the necessary NavPods to secure your new electronics.
