New for 2008, the Lewmar three button wireless remote works with most Lewmar or Simpson Lawrence windlass that uses a solenoid Control Box to activate the windlass. The 3-Button Windlass Remote Kit is easily retrofitted to existing installations and include a replaceable battery. The fobs float and are waterproof to IP67 (1 meter deep). Using over one billion individual codes, a proprietary encryption scheme prevents false triggering from any other device or similar fob. And kits include a Receiver that supports up to eight remote key fobs (additional fobs sold separately). Features: Allows wireless remote operation (Up/Down) of any Lewmar or Simpson Lawrence (solenoid switched) Windlass, FCC & CE, Kit includes:(1) 3-button Wireless Fob,(1) Windlass Receiver. Some smaller Lewmar and Simpson Lawrence windlasses are not equipped with solenoids (also sometimes referred to as Control Boxes or Contactors). Generally, any Lewmar or Simpson Lawrence windlass with a Minimum Pull of at least 363kg (800lbs) is solenoid equipped (i.e. Pro-Series 1000, Pro-Fish 1000, V1 through V5, Concept 1 through 3, Horizon 900, Sprint Atlantic, Sprint 1000 through 3000, Horizon 900 and above, etc). Smaller windlasses without solenoids will require the addition of a dual-direction solenoid to use a Wireless Kit.
